A wonderful product to finish off renovating a kitchen table and coffee table, both of which have been transformed by this great product applied on top of Gilboy’s hard wax polish. With all cloths, etc provided in the kit, the project was straight-forward, guided by very helpful Gilboy videos on YouTube!

I have used this hard wax on a number of projects and restorations, it just brings out the full beauty of the wood, a fabulous product that I would really recommend.

Didnt work for me, but you did warn in your advert that some modern furniture may not respond. Still gives it a nice shiny finish, but didnt get rid of sun damage unfortunately.
Worked fab, and is indeed heat proof and good with spillages. What is more…I loved the packaging and the video demo! I want more of you!
Hello all bought the rise gold kit, scraper and hard wax oil to refinish my Ercol table and chairs, watched Simon on utube and had a go, followed the steps and loved the process, great product's, cabinet scraper was a massive help, loved the smell of the rose gold wax, if it don't move it gets waxed now!! Loved the packaging real class and my sun flowers are on the way up.

Used this hard wax oil rod finish on a piece of oak furniture after removing the old varnish with stripper and sanding, so the wood was bare. It went on very easily, I gave it two coats with eight hours between coats. I found the finish a bit too dull for my taste, but a beeswax polish could be applied. I dropped some water on the finish to test its impermeability and it was excellent, the water was wiped off and left no damp spot.
I have to thank Simon and the team foe their advice by emails and their YouTube videos.

This leather balsam is definitely the best I have tried. Especially good for treating older items. It soaks in deeply on tired leather and renews suppleness and finish.
Gilboys polishing products are my go to product, especially the Rose Gold beeswax polish, which adds vibrancy and depth to all types of wood, not just the lighter ones. Each jar lasts for ages as one only needs a little to achieve a lot. And the best bit for me is that Gilboys polishes buff up to a lovely subtle sheen without a lot of elbow grease. I’m happy to use it on my antique restoration projects and happy to recommend it.
Used this on my old Frank Thomas leather motorcycle gloves that were getting a bit dried out and stiff and it worked a treat, made them noticably more soft and flexible. I've also used it on my brown leather walking boots and its given them a new lease of life, improving there looks considerably. Used only a little of the tin so a little really does go a long way. Highly recommended!
It met all my expectations after trying the excellent starter kit, when I had some more old furniture to restore I decided to use your wax polish. I have tried some of the Italian wax polishes, Gubra and Novecento, but your polish is head and shoulders above them.
Just what our sunbleached stairs needed, but also great on other bits of furniture.
It's not completely magic and you may want a little bit of something with a bit more colour first if you are dealing with very blanched wood. However, we have very nearly finished the pot and plan to get some more

I had some water stained window sills in our new property and intended to sand them back, seal and varnish(sorry).After watching your video comparing different finishes, I decided to try your hard wax oil. Delighted with the results. I can’t help but stroke them when I walk past. I also bought the wax starter kit, but the hard wax oil gave a very satisfying rich tone just on its own. Now looking forward to my next project. Isn’t wood just such a beautiful material?
My wife deals in Antique furniture and I use your products to enhance their appearance if they are dull or discoloured and carry out repairs to minor scratches and imperfections with your superb waxes.
I also find Simon’s videos on furniture restoration extremely useful as they are a constant source of instruction and inspiration on how to revive furniture.

After a great visit to the shop and advice from Simon, I bought this kit and have used it. It really is SO easy to use and the finish on the wood is amazing. I find myself looking around my house thinking " that chair could do with a Gilboys makeover" 😊 great products and great service.
Really like the product. Primarily bought it for a tired satchel (70 yrs old +) and it brought the leather back to life. Since then used it on other things to good effect.
The online videos were useful.
Previously used saddle soap on leather stuff but I'd run out so tried a change. Glad I did.
