I used this hard wax oil on my first project after watching several of YouTube videos which are really informative. My small table turned out beautifully. Now planning to strip and finish two dining tables using this and their Pure Gold Polish.
We haven't used the product (Oxalic Acid) yet...but it was delivered quickly and well packaged with a lovely thank you note - it's the small things! Always trying to use UK based companies...
I am restoring an oak fender that my Grandfather made for his own home in circa 1890. When I took possession of it, it was showing it's age and had not been cared for a while.
I have been using Gilboys Golden wax polish on it and it now looks superb. I have started working my way through every piece of my Grandfather's carving in my possession!!
This is a lovely wax, I use it on walking canes and it brings the wood up perfectly. I will be looking at other Gilboys products. 5 stars.
I have used the rose gold from the pack on 4 Georgian fruitwood chairs. I used the wax after giving the chairs a good clean and there was plenty to cover the four. The results were amazing. I was worried that I had been a bit over zealous with my cleaning but once the wax went on and was buffed they looked gorgeous. The wax was lovely to use and the chairs look like proper bobby dazzlers now. I am really pleased with the product and the starter pack was perfect for my needs. I would absolutely recommend this product.
A pleasure to use, pleasant smell when applied, odourless once dry and buffed., lovely even finish, Much easier to use than the traditional bees wax, no tacky residue once polished.
I am very happy with this natural, non-toxic product. I would definitely buy it again.
I recently made my 3rd purchase of Pure Gold wax. It is wonderful to use and never fails. As I've mentioned to Simon, it smells better than my wife's aromatic candles!
Mid oak table standing in south facing conservatory was looking dry. We used this and it has brought it back to life. We are now working our way around the rest of our furniture which is all mid oak.
