"I’m not just saying it, but your waxes are superb"
- Drew Pritchard (Salvage Hunters)

"Everything you need to start polishing your furniture like a professional with the best beeswax polish"

  • 'pure gold' is a clear polish for use on light coloured woods such as Ash, Beech, Maple, Light Oak and Pine
  • 'rose gold' specially formulated for use on Rosewood, Teak, Light Mahogany, Cherry, and Honey Oak furniture, G-Plan, Nathan, Mcintosh and all Mid Century Teak furniture or similar coloured woods.
  • 'antique gold' carefully crafted for use on dark coloured woods such as Antique Oak, Mahogany, Walnut, and Elm
  • Furniture restorers recommend ultra-soft '0000'-grade oil-free wire wool that cleans the surface as it applies the wax polish
  • Antique restorers recommend an open-weave 100% cotton polishing cloth for easier buffing without streaks
  • Complimentary organic sunflower seeds for you to plant and grow as a special 'Thank You' to the hard-working bees

Perfect if you have one prize piece of wooden furniture or have two or three pieces of different types of wood.

Ideal for anyone who would like to polish a single piece of furniture but may be unsure which shade to buy.

We have ensured there is enough in each tin to cover a single piece of furniture (depending on the absorption rate of the wood) such as dining table, gate-leg table, bureau, chest of drawers, or four to six dining chairs.

If you would like to try your hand at beeswax polishing using the products professional restorers use, this kit is a great starting point.

Our beeswax furniture polish is made in the UK from the highest quality natural waxes we can source and is specially formulated to bring old furniture back to life:

100% NATURAL WAXES

  • The best triple-filtered beeswax, humanely harvested from local hives
  • All natural waxes: Carnauba, Myrica, Japan and Berry waxes
  • Blended with nothing but pure pine gum spirits of turpentine in the traditional way
  • No white (mineral) spirits, No toluene, No aggressive petrochemical solvents and definitely NO SILICONE

IMPROVED UV PROTECTION

Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.

By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.

While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:
  • We are not driven by a corporate cost-reduction ethos. We select our components based on quality and sustainability rather than the cheapest alternatives
  • 100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging
    • Recycled cardboard and paper from FSC-approved mixed sources
    • Packing tape that is paper & cotton based with a water-based gum adhesive which can be recycled along with the cardboard boxes
    • No polypropylene-based tape. We use biodegradable raffia twine.
  • No petrochemical solvents, we use only pure pine gum spirits of turpentine
  • Our workshop roof is completely covered in solar panels and generates far more electricity than we consume

 HOW TO POLISH WITH BEESWAX

  1. For best results use the included ultra-soft 0000-grade oil-free wire wool to apply the polish
  2. With gentle pressure spread the polish evenly over the surface in the direction of the grain, being careful not to over apply and avoid any upholstered areas. Once applied the surface area should look matt in appearance
  3. Allow the pure pine turpentine to completely evaporate and the wax to harden (15-20 minutes in temperate climates)
  4. Use the included open-weave pure cotton buffing cloth to buff the wax with ease and without leaving streaks. An open-weave cloth reduces the heat from friction that would melt the top layer of wax and cause smearing.

Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.

If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish, then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.

*SECRET TRADE TIP:

For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it when completely dry with a soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.

Excellent Product

Works well, easy to use and leaves a much better finish than the cans of silicone polish used previously

Small mahogany bookcase

I used the Antique Gold wax on my mahogany bookcase. This was the first application of wax in about twenty years. I cleaned the piece with white spirit and a soft cotton cloth, and then applied the wax with wire wool. Polished with pieces cut from an old vest to save the special open-weave cloth for another day. I didn't take a "before" pic but believe me, this is a huge improvement. The starter kit is a really good buy if you have a few small pieces of furniture to work on and they can benefit from the different colours of the wax.

Really well packaged and a quality product. It was a nice touch to include the sun flower seeds too.

Great product

My starter set arrived quickly.
My G-Plan coffee table is already looking healthier after just one application with the Rose beeswax.
Haven’t used the other pots yet but I’m sure they will be as good.
Definitely 5 ⭐️

What a difference

I've been going round the house sprucing up various items with my starter kit, with good results. Small areas are easier to produce a huge improvement and the finish looks good and feels resilient. I've found large areas, such as a dining table, hard to achieve a consistent finish, but that's surely down to me being a novice. Perhaps I need to work in small sections, even on a big piece, and join all the small.sections up to achieve the best overall effect.

Starter Kit

Starter kit purchased to preserve my wooden Jubilee Wine Canon, made from the hull of HMS Victory. Wax was easy to apply and the protection is tangible.
Presentation is excellent, as was delivery.

Lovely product

You just KNOW this polish is doing your furniture good … and smells rich and antique. Would never have thought of using steel wool to polish your furniture but this wool is cotton wool soft.. amazing! I’ve planted the sunflowers … hopefully lots of lovely sunflowers for the birds and bees later this year.
