This mid century Bureau looked like it had a hard life when i purchased it. After all the cleaning, joinery repairs and adjustment it was time to get some oil on.

The Gilboys wax oil was a dream to work with. As a carpenter & joiner I have used many well know products over 25+ years.

Right from the tin you could tell this was good quality. It was really easy to apply with a cloth and absorbed well, smells amazing! The original veneer came back to life instantly.

This piece needed 3 coat and dried as I hoped. Next I used the Rose Gold wax which added vintage tones and a super finish.

I did contact Gilboys about drying times, Simon was super helpful and friendly.

After deciding to restore some 1960's Austrlaian modernis furniture, I jumped onto Youtube to learn what to do. I came across Simon's Youtube vids and I was sold! Ordered the sealing wax and the polishing wax, and I cannot believe just how amazing the timber on the chairs have come up! And talk about easy to use! I feel like restoring everything! Will definitley be ordering more once this batch has been depleted. Thank you Gilboys for such a great product. It truly has transformed these chairs!

The rose gold wax really bought the wood on a very tired midcentury chair back to life. This is such a lovely product, easy to use, it smells great and gives such good results. All that AND it was beautifully packaged.

I inherited this writing bureau (photos attached) when my father died in 1990 and it's been in my garage ever since. I finally summoned the courage to restore it after watching a number of Simon's You Tube videos. I purchased the Beeswax Furniture Polishing Kit and used the Pure Gold wax to finish it. The lustrous finish contrasts the light and dark grain in the English oak beautifully.
I can just hear my dad saying, 'Crikey, that looks good!' The process and the product combined to bring this family heir loom in from the garage to the living room where it will take pride of place for ever more.
I have since purchased an antique buffet and hutch to restore as well.

This is my second purchase of waxes from Gilboy's and I must comment on what a superior wax this is, just look at the photos to see the finish! I have used the Antique Gold and Pure Gold on these 2 projects the finish is wonderful!

This is the best wax polish I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a lot! It is natural, beautiful and worth every penny. I just wish I had bought the box with all 3 colours, as I am missing Antique Gold, but will definitely be purchasing it in the future. Thanks also for all the excellent videos which really give confidence to do it yourself.

So far I have used the rose wax on our rosewood furniture which is about 30 years old and was in need of some love. It has given the wood a beautiful rich depth of finish which looks amazing. I will be giving it another layer in about a weeks time. It requires some elbow grease and as we have a number of items I have been working on them over a number of days. The reward is worth the effort. Customer service is second to none and the thought put into the packaging and presentation was exceptional. Nice to deal with a company who believes in their product. Highly recommend.

Inherited a lot of furniture from parents with family memories so wanted best products to help restore and update. From watching the YouTube videos, ordering online, receiving - the packaging and personal note were lovely, the gorgeous smell of the waxes, ease of application and results are amazing. I bought a twin polish kit with the pure gold and rose gold waxes for renovating a mahogany desk. I loved the personal touch and the attention to detail with the packaging, as well as the excellent waxes themselves. I found it so easy to work with the wax using the supplied steel wool and the results are stunning, bringing out the fantastic colour of the wood. Simon's educational and inspirational videos gave me the confidence to take this work on and have given me the bug to restore other old furniture pieces now.

I have a lot of medium oak furniture and this polish is brilliant for bringing out the grain and giving it a wonderful shine.

Bought this to renovate a second hand G plan extendable table. Extension panel was a lot darker than the rest of the table. Used clear on the panel and rose gold on the rest of the table and it has really helped to balance out the colour. Lots of small dinks and patches also hardly visible now.. This was just with waxing; I did not sand down the original at all. Am now eying up the rest of my furniture to see what I can do with this gorgeous stuff.

I am really impressed with the beeswax polishing kit I received. It's made my haggard wooden furniture look much better and I'm amazed at how easy it is to use. Will buy more in the future, Gilboy's provide a great service and live the youtube videos.

The products are beautiful to work with, I have completed a small side table, it looks great, I am delighted with the results. Products also beautifully presented in box, which would make a lovely gift.

Maybe I did something wrong. I used it on 3 items and did not get the results I was hoping for. I followed directions but the polish would not adhere well so when I buffed I saw very little to no difference. Perhaps you can give me some expert tips? Thank you.
