"I’m not just saying it, but your waxes are superb"
- Drew Pritchard (Salvage Hunters)

Antique Gold Beeswax Furniture Polishing Kit (Twin Pack) is formulated for optimal performance on dark and antique woods, including Antique Oak, Mahogany, Walnut, and Elm. This UK-made product helps restore and protect wood finishes.

This beeswax polishing kit contains everything you need to polish and protect the finish of your wood furniture:

  • Two jars of Gilboy's Antique Gold beeswax furniture polish  (each jar will cover approximately 12m² or five to six standard size dining tables)
  • 1.2 metres of our antique restorers' recommended 0000-grade oil-free wire wool for easier application
  • 2 large lengths of our antique restorers' recommended open-weave 100% cotton buffing cloth for polishing without streaking
  • 2 'gilded bee' pure Dartmoor beeswax repair cubes colour-matched with your polish for repairing dents, deep scratches and cracks
  • Complimentary sunflower seeds seeds for you to grow as a 'Thank You' to the bees
  • Return & Refill: Hold on to our special reusable packaging and use it again to return your empty jar for a 20% discounted refill
Our beeswax furniture polish is made in the UK from the highest quality natural waxes to create a deep lustre and protect your furniture:
  • 100% natural ingredients
    • Humanely harvested and triple-cold-filtered beeswax from local hives
    • Natural carnauba, Myrica, Japan and berry waxes
    • No silicone
  • Reusable & Returnable Clip-top Le ParfaitTM jar with air-tight seal
  • 100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging made with recycled cardboard from FSC-approved mixed sources

We have developed our beeswax furniture polish to such a fine blend that you don't necessarily have to polish again for at least a year and possibly up to three years.

Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.

By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.

While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.

Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:

  • We are not driven by a corporate cost-reduction ethos. We select our components based on quality and sustainability rather than the cheapest alternatives
  • 100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging
    • Recycled cardboard and paper from FSC-approved mixed sources
    • Packing tape that is paper & cotton based with a water-based gum adhesive which can be recycled along with the cardboard boxes
    • No polypropylene-based tape. We use biodegradable raffia twine.
  • Reusable Le Parfait jars with a Return & Refill discount scheme
  • Our workshop roof is completely covered in solar panels and generates far more electricity than we consume

very difficult to use

unless I did something wrong here I found this wax was difficult to apply being quite hard despite some 20 degrees.
I used a soft cloth but could not get much wax on it and when I did it was again difficult to apply onto my Wooden clock, then my table and display unit. I applied it in circular motions some 150 mm diameter, I left it for 30 mins but found it would not then rub off, I was again using a new clean soft cloth so left it for one hour but no different and it looked horrible.
My wife went mad then got some polish oil and after considerable rubbing got rid of 80-% and so I have put your Jar back in its box. If you can tell me what I did wrong let me know.

Quality products, beautiful presentation and extraordinary service

I emailed Gilboys because I didn’t know what to with my much abused Georgian staircase handrail. Simon replied almost immediately with detailed information. I bought some wax which arrived promptly in the most stunning packaging. The wax itself is a real joy to use - the finish that emerges when buffing is so satisfying that is was easy to get my kids to help. I’m now dreaming up new projects so I can try different products.

The polish has a soft texture so is easy to use. When applied it stays soft so is easy to work with - waxing the dining table doesn't feel like a gym session!! Superior (by far) to other brands I have tried. The finish is excellent and durable.
