I have an oak table I had stripped and sanded back and although I had got it the right colour I couldn’t get the right sheen and finish. This has done the job, it also smells fantastic.
Also used on antique fruitwood table, which has never looked so good!

I was feeling somewhat dissatisfied at my my French Polishing, Varnishing, Liberon Black Bison etc etc efforts when I happened upon a Gilboy's You Tube Tutorial. In this tutorial a rather thick set French Polisher took a sun damaged piano lid, split it into four parts using masking tape and used different techniques to demonstrate different finishes. The end result was jaw dropping, I then went on to watch Simon's tutorial on restoring a child's rocking chair along with several others. I placed my order for antique gold after watching these amazing tutorials. I would truly love to know what French Polish that French Polisher used to get hose results on the piano lid, I have tried Liberon Special Pale French Polish which isn't bad but would love to achieve the lustre this thick set French Polisher achieved on that Piano Lid. The antique gold I used on my American Walnut not only gave a beautiful finish, the touch and smoothness of of the finish was truly remarkable.
The package I received through the post was unusual to say the least. The whole package was like a birthday or Christmas gift, not the sort of thing you unpack and discard. The sweet pea seeds were a nice touch, the beautifully wrapped antique gold bees wax was also very welcome, the open weave polishing cloth and 0000 steel wool completed the kit. You have everything you need here to get brilliant results. The price? you cannot put a price on this sort of thing, do it once and it's done, beautifully done. Thank you Simon, and the thick set French Polisher who put me right where I wanted to be.
I have used the kit so far to renovate a coffee table and rocking chair. There were quite a number of dents and scratches which I used the beeswax repair stick on. This worked really well for smaller scratches and dents and improved a deep, wide scratch on the top of the coffee table considerably. The beeswax polish was easy to apply and the results after just one coat were magical! I gave the rocking chair a second coat of the beeswax polish and am extremely pleased with the results. Very satisfying! I have plenty of polish left and my next projects are a wooden chest and another coffee table.
Following instructions, I applied the polish to my old elm gate leg table top leaf by leaf. What a difference it has made to this well used country piece. I shall tackle its legs ,drawer etc shortly.Ruth Hind
My job was delayed by the cold weather as my workshop is unheated. I have repaired and refurbished a small oak round table using the kit and following the instructions given on your video. All went well and have learnt a lot. The finish is great.
I have used other wax products but Gilboys is far superior. I will not be using any other in future
I bought some lovely but tatty mahogany framed chairs. This brought them up a treat.
