IMPROVED UV PROTECTION

Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.

By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.

While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:

  • We are not driven by a corporate cost-reduction ethos. We select our components based on quality and sustainability rather than the cheapest alternatives
  • 100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging
    • Recycled cardboard and paper from FSC-approved mixed sources
    • Packing tape that is paper & cotton based with a water-based gum adhesive which can be recycled along with the cardboard boxes
    • No polypropylene-based tape. We use biodegradable raffia twine.
  • Reusable Le Parfait jars with a Return & Refill discount scheme
  • Our workshop roof is completely covered in solar panels and generates far more electricity than we consume

Worth the price

Having used this wax religiously for 2 years I decided to buy a big tin. Such easy wax to use and gives a good shine after just one use. Works amazingly and I recommend it all to my clients too.

Just the job!

Followed Simon's instructions and achieved the lovely shine on my sadly neglected kist. Easy to apply with the superfine steel wool and buffed up nicely. Based on my result I would certainly recommend this beeswax polish. Thanks Simon.

To date, I have used the wax on 6 18th century Antique pieces with great results.

Fantastic stuff

I highly recommend Gilboys beeswax polishes. They do such a great job. I recently used it on a 17th century dark wood buffet and it has come up lovely. Their honey is great too.

Great products

Fantastic products, in particular the hard wax oil. Far superior to others I have tried. And Simon's videos have been invaluable.

Kitchen table and bench recovery

Really pleased with Pine table and benches transformation. All down to Gilboys hard wax oil and Antique Gold beeswax, guided by Simon’s YouTube video. After and before photos below

Great product and service.

I was delighted to see that Gilboys head office was close to where I live. I'd already seen several of the online videos and was impressed with the team's level of knowledge. So I popped down to their new premises and was met by an exceptionally helpful and friendly team. I was able to talk through the 3 different repair projects I had and was given wonderful advice on how to manage them. The kit that I bought is brilliant and exactly what I needed. Great product, great advice, great company. Well done Gilboys!!!

very difficult to use

unless I did something wrong here I found this wax was difficult to apply being quite hard despite some 20 degrees.
I used a soft cloth but could not get much wax on it and when I did it was again difficult to apply onto my Wooden clock, then my table and display unit. I applied it in circular motions some 150 mm diameter, I left it for 30 mins but found it would not then rub off, I was again using a new clean soft cloth so left it for one hour but no different and it looked horrible.
My wife went mad then got some polish oil and after considerable rubbing got rid of 80-% and so I have put your Jar back in its box. If you can tell me what I did wrong let me know.
