"I’m not just saying it, but your waxes are superb"
- Drew Pritchard (Salvage Hunters)
The open weave of this 100% cotton cloth ensures that too much heat does not build up through the friction of polishing. Too much friction and therefore heat will melt the top few molecules of wax and create smearing. Our buffing cloth has been used for polishing by the restorers in our workshop for the past twenty years.
The open weave of our cloth makes life a lot easier when it comes to buffing the wax and achieving an even finish using considerably less elbow power than conventional towelling would require.
EVERY order that leaves the Gilboy's workshop has a complimentary packet of sunflower seeds. We hope you will plant and grow them to provide a rich source of nectar by way of a 'Thank You' to the bees who make the beeswax in our polishes.
Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:
I have not used the product yet as work is still being done on property. I like to use natural products & prefer not to over restore, The furniture is not new & like it to look used & loved. I am sure this product will do that for me.
Superb polishing cloth. The knit surface assures equal distribution of pressure so that little of no polish is removed.
Was so surprised how quickly items arrived and so wonderfully wrapped, thank you
Great product, customer service and delivery
Hi Simon, thanks for your request for a review of the buffing cloths I bought. Whilst your buffing cloths are good and I would buy them again from your online shop; given that they are recommended for being the best at polishing wood furniture; however I was a bit disappointed with the overall finish of my oak table after using the cloths, as sadly the polish looks very patchy in places on my brand new rustic oak coloured Oak dining table, despite me carefully applying the furniture supplier’s own beeswax polish (we have to use it under the terms of our 5yr guarantee with them) using the buffing cloth and then using another clean buffing cloth to work the polish in / buffing it to a shine. The cloth really frays and leaves bits on the table. I’m unsure if the patchy areas are due to the wax polish not being the best quality. So, when my 5yr guarantee is up, I will be looking for a better quality wax polish and will be seeking advice from your store as to which is the best colour wax polish you would recommend I use in my rustic oak dining table? Many thanks
All products I purchased are excellent quality. They transformed my antique furniture and inspired me to polish just about everything I could find in my home. Family and friends agree and are now placing their orders.
Good quality does what Simon says it will do.
Always great wax that gives great results
I used this for the final treatment (buffing) of a piece made in Iroko and Ash, and which had had 3-4 coats of Danish Oil. It was excellent.
I purchased this product as I'd not used it before. I usually used an old T-shirt or something similar that was bound for the rubbish bin. This makes a difference in the application and removal of wax. Thank you, Simon, for the caution of not laundering it!
