Everything you need to start polishing your furniture like a professional with the best beeswax polish:
Perfect if you have one prize piece of wooden furniture or have two or three pieces of different types of wood. We have ensured there is enough in each tin to cover a single piece of furniture (depending on the absorption rate of the wood) such as dining table, gate-leg table, bureau, chest of drawers, or four to six dining chairs.
Ideal for anyone who would like to polish a single piece of furniture but may be unsure which shade to buy.
If you would like to try your hand at beeswax polishing using the products professional restorers use, this kit is a great starting point.
Our beeswax furniture polish is made in the UK from the highest quality natural waxes we can source and is specially formulated to bring old furniture back to life:
Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:
Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.
If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish, then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.
For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it when completely dry with a soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.
Excellent Beeswax. A top quality product and service with huge attention to personal detail. You can tell this business is extremely passionate about what they do and what they make. Not cheap, but the old adage buy cheap buy twice comes to mind. Oh they are Green and trying to lower carbon footprint too.
I was inspired by Simon Gilboys Tutorial on Youtube to purchase a starter pack of Beeswax polish to restore a Gateleg table. From delivery ( a long story, suffice to say I had a Senior Moment with the postcode) which did arrive at the postcode stated within the timescale. The polishes were presented beautifully, fit for any expensive purfume! which did get a lookin, in the shape of Sweet Pea Seeds, for the Bees, such a nice touch. As for the actual polishes they are excellent and brought the old neglected table back to life, glad I got the starter pack as I used 2 of the three on this project not knowing which colour I would need. Thank you Simon for your patience regarding delivery and for your handy hints. Shirley Smith
You just know when you buy gilboys polish the results are going to be, there are not too many things in life guaranteed but Gilboy’s wax polish is definitely one of them👍🏻
The parcel was received the next day and the presentation of the box contents was excellent The presentation card made it so personal.
I havent had the opportunity to use the polish on the project intended yet but have used the antique bees wax on previously polished furniture with great effect. If you enjoy the look of polished wood this polish is the best.
You have total confidence using these waxes as they are very high quality - I have used them to restore a Georgian tripod table and achieved a perfect finish.
I have only used the rose gold and pure gold on a test piece for finishing. The wax appears very high quality. BUT, the biggest difference I can tell is the smell. I’ve used several different brands of wax and I can say this one by far has the best smell. It’s not just tolerable but enjoyable. I wish I would have had it when I rewaxed our China cabinet in the kitchen. The house would have smelled much better.
Absolutely delighted with the product. Beautifully packaged, personalised message included just cuts above the average, detailed instructions on use. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends.
We bought one for ourselves and found it great so we bought another for my sister in Germany as their wooden furniture was looking sad. They are really pleased with it and their furniture is looking much more loved.
fantastic product, did exactly what it is meant to do. I had previously spoke to Simon who advised me. So many products and advise on Google I was very confused. Simon really helped with direct advise and the product I needed to achieve what I wanted. I had stripped back my great grandma's dressing table. Im delighted and was well worth spending that bit extra. Before and after photos
I really only wanted to sample the three wax types. I have polished antique furniture for a number of years and have various grades of wire wool and polishing cloth. So I didn't need these, or the flim-flam of sweet peas or card or expensive leaflets of who you all are. Sorry, but a no nonsense sample, like Little Greene paints, of your three waxes at less cost would have done the job. I like the waxes and may buy a bigger tin but the unnecessary marketing hasn't won me over!
