Simply the best beeswax polish for all types of wood and finishes.
We have developed our beeswax furniture polish to such a fine blend that you don't necessarily have to polish again for at least a year and possibly up to three years.
COLOUR MATCHING- Pure Gold is a clear beeswax polish ideal for use on Ash, Beech, Maple, Light Oak and Pine.
- Rose Gold is a medium shade beeswax polish specially formulated for use on Rosewood, Teak, Light Mahogany, Cherry, and Honey Oak furniture, G-Plan, Nathan, Mcintosh and all Mid Century Teak furniture or similar coloured woods.
- Antique Gold is a dark beeswax polish designed for use on dark and antique woods such as Antique Oak, Mahogany, Walnut, Elm or similar dark coloured woods.
- BRINGS OLD FURNITURE BACK TO LIFE
- PRESERVES THE FINISH OF ANTIQUE WOOD
- REVIVES AND PROTECTS ALL TYPES OF WOOD FINISHES
Our Beeswax polish provides excellent coverage on a variety of wood finishes because pure turpentine holds far more wax in suspesion than petrochemical solvents:
Size | Coverage Area |
---|---|
1L | 100m² approx. (40-48 standard size dining tables)* |
*Coverage may vary depending on the condition of the finish.
- Triple-filtered beeswax, humanely harvested from local hives
- Carnauba, Myrica, Japan and Berry waxes
Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.
By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.
While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.
Environmental preservation is very important to us and we make every effort to ensure our products have a minimal impact on the environment:
- We are not driven by a corporate cost-reduction ethos. We select our components based on quality and sustainability rather than the cheapest alternatives
- 100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging
- Recycled cardboard and paper from FSC-approved mixed sources
- Packing tape that is paper & cotton based with a water-based gum adhesive which can be recycled along with the cardboard boxes
- No polypropylene-based tape. We use biodegradable raffia twine.
- Our workshop roof is completely covered in solar panels and generates far more electricity than we consume
- For best results use the included ultra-soft 0000-grade oil-free wire wool to apply the polish
- With gentle pressure spread the polish evenly over the surface in the direction of the grain, being careful not to over apply and avoid any upholstered areas. Once applied the surface area should look matt in appearance
- Allow the pure pine turpentine to completely evaporate and the wax to harden (15-20 minutes in temperate climates)
- Use the included open-weave pure cotton buffing cloth to buff the wax with ease and without leaving streaks. An open-weave cloth reduces the heat from friction that would melt the top layer of wax and cause smearing.
Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.
If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish, then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.
SECRET TRADE TIP:
For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it when completely dry with a soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.

I have been buying from Gilboys for the last 5 years and I love the products
Fantastic product. Ordered a big tin after trying smaller jars. It’s great.
Top, top product. I can sense the passion invested in its production. Finest ingredients, best formulation and balance. A pleasure to apply and the results are stunning. Love all three waxes.
I use Gilboy's waxes on restorations and projects, including pieces of tremendous sentimental value to the owners, with consistently great results. The focus on customer service and genuine love for the product shines through. Add to this their use of natural products and visible commitment to sustainability and I can't recommend highly enough - great stuff.

I am so grateful for your tutorial, I have saved grand father chairs. The pale chair is the striped one and the 3 after naphta oil and wax. Very happy. Thank you Gilboys.
