The personal touch

First order with Gilboys, after watching videos of teak veneer mid century table restoration which I am in middle of. Ordered buffing cloth and wax repair blocks - a fantastic and friendly set up - great products and outstanding service with hand written messages and sunflower seeds - felt an immediate bond to their ethos and passion - I will most certainly be ordering again once I have decided the most appropriate homemade wax to enhance my existing mid century pieces. BRILLIANT!

Part of a larger purchase....

Bought these as part of a larger purchase but have not yet had time to put them to good use. They arrived beautifully packaged in their own small textile bag rsurely eflecting the care that is being taken at every step. I have no doubts that these cubes will also be of the same very high quality as other products that I have purchased from Gilboys and already used with excellent results.

Not quite as seen in the video...

The packaging, the sweet peas, etc., All very nice touches but...
I'm not having the results with the actual product as seen in the Youtube video. My expectations were too high, I guess.

Thanks,
Robert Belew

Simple and Effective

I discovered Gilboy’s after watching some of the great YouTube videos and purchased the wax repair blocks from the shop.

The chair in the photos had a large split in the seat that was easy to fill using the dark block and following the instructions in the video. Although you can see the repair in the enlarged close-up photograph it is hardly noticeable after polishing. I used a candle to heat the block, but it is worth mentioning that this is not suitable for the pale-coloured block as it leaves a dark residue in the melting wax. I used a butane lighter to melt the pale block to avoid this happening.

I was amused to see that these come nicely wrapped and look like a present of three delicious fancy dark, milk and white chocolates!
