IMPROVED UV PROTECTION

Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.

By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.

While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.

We are not driven by a corporate cost-reduction ethos. We select our components based on quality and sustainability rather than the cheapest alternatives
No petrochemical solvents, we use only pure pine gum spirits of turpentine
100% Plastic-free recyclable packaging
Recycled cardboard and paper from FSC-approved mixed sources
Packing tape that is paper & cotton based with a water-based gum adhesive which can be recycled along with the cardboard boxes
No polypropylene-based tape. We use biodegradable raffia twine.
Our workshop roof is completely covered in solar panels and generates far more electricity than we consume

HOW TO USE

For best results use the included ultra-soft 0000-grade oil-free wire wool to apply the polish
With gentle pressure spread the polish evenly over the surface in the direction of the grain, being careful not to over apply and avoid any upholstered areas. Once applied the surface area should look matt in appearance
Allow the pure pine turpentine to completely evaporate and the wax to harden (15-20 minutes in temperate climates)
Use the included open-weave pure cotton buffing cloth to buff the wax with ease and without leaving streaks. An open-weave cloth reduces the heat from friction that would melt the top layer of wax and cause smearing.

Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.

If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish, then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.

SECRET TRADE TIP:

For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it when completely dry with a soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.

Perfect kit with everything needed

Perfect kit with everything needed.
I purchased a second hand G-Plan table and chairs which needed some attention.
Really easy to apply the beeswax and it really improved the colour and shine to the furniture. Some areas needed more attention (and stronger wire wool) but finishing with the kit enhanced the wood.
The colour was perfect (even though it looks super dark in the jar).
Other beeswax I've used leave a strong smell that lasts a few days, Gilboys didn't, in fact it had a really nice fragrance.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful product

Bought to revive a Gplan nest of tables and two gplan base units I’ve inherited. My purchase was delivered very quickly and beautifully packaged with a personalised card thanking me for my purchase. There is even a sachet of sunflower seeds to plant to help the bees ! I’ve only used the product on 2 of the tables so far but I’m really pleased with the results. The beeswax has given the tables a lovely rich colour.

After watching teak coffee table U tube video twice I felt confident enough to tackle a 1960 s folding dining table that had belonged to my in-laws
My daughter had it but lent it to friends and it was in a sorry state. My son has just moved into a new flat and said he would like it and was happy for me to attempt to revive it
I've had a great few days going through the stages of restoration and realising quite early on that I was going to be successful
This morning I applied a coat of wax polish and after leaving it for half an hour buffed it up and felt quite emotional to see the dear old table restored. Not perfect but probably all the better for that.

Top quality product and comprehensive video how to use

Purchased after watching in depth video of Gilboys renovation video of a g plan table. I have used Gilboys hot wax and beeswax polish to renovate my late parents 50+years old g plan dining table and chairs( heavily marked and scratched). Looks like new, thank you for both excellent quality products and comprehensive video on how to best use. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing products, best I have ever used.

For literally decades I have been trying different waxes for my hand carved table. I have bought many different waxes, claiming to be "the best for antiques". Sadly none have lived up to their promise. Until I found Gilboys. I got the set of 3 different waxes for myself, as I have a lot of antique and other wooden furniture. I found the instruction videos by Gilboys really helpful. the kit came with steel wool, polishing cloth, waxes and cubes for repair of scratches. One challenge for me is the deep carving in the wood of this table, and finding the information to cut off a paintbrush was ideal for getting the wax properly distributed. I did a small area at a time, and the results were so fantastic I was raving to my family about what an amazing wax this is. I got a kit for my sister for her tables too after seeing the results. The table has not looked this good since it was first carved by a family friend in the 1960's. I have recommended these waxes to my family and friends.

So impressed with this polishing kit, everything was so easy to use and the results are beautiful.

I have an old teak sideboard that needed some tlc, it was extremely dull and flat before. It now has the most stunning shine, the surface is reflective like glass, I can't stop looking at it. The polish has brought life back to the teak and it smells divine. Cant recommend enough, thank you!!

Absolutely fabulous product . With great help from you Ytube video restoring a mid century dinning table was able to follow your steps . Issued the Rose gold wax and hard wax oil 2 coats of each . The table was in pretty bad shape but your products saved the day for my 1960 teak dinning table with 4 extensions.

I ordered this product after seeing the fantastic results on the YouTube channel “Escape to the Dream” about a family restoring their French chateau. The old, awful furniture they would buy at brocantes came out gorgeous so I thought, why not? I bought it for my cherry and darker furniture, but decided to try it first on my oak cabinet. It looks fantastic! Next project is the Cherry furniture, I promise!

Brilliant products

I bought a G Plan Quadrille nest of tables in a charity shop. They had been used and abused and were in a very sorry state. I have no experience of restoring furniture. I came across the YouTube video and ordered the products. I set to work. The results are amazing! The tables look beautiful now, it's hard to believe they are the same ones. I'm just sorry I didn't think to take a 'before' photo.

First attempt

This was my first attempt to restore my G plan coffee tables to their full glory. I have now finished the first one and I am really pleased with how it looks even though I could not get the heat marks out, which spoils it a bit.

The products were easy to use and your tutorial was very helpful. The smell of the beeswax is the best bit. I now wast to Polish all my wooden furniture with it.

I will certainly be ordering more products in future.

Take time to do things the right way and use the right materials and you get a good result. Unfortunately, us amateurs invariably don’t! But Simon Gilboys products are superb, made for the job and fine quality. Use them in the way his videos show and you will get results far better than an amateur may ever hope for!!
