      IMPROVED UV PROTECTION

Our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of your wooden furniture has led us to improve our beeswax polish formula by incorporating a UV absorber. This addition has been scientifically proven to significantly lessen the harmful effects of UV radiation from direct sunlight on wooden surfaces.

By integrating a UV absorber into our trusted beeswax polish formula, we provide additional protection that absorbs even more of the harmful UV rays before they can damage the wood or its finish. This advanced protection is especially crucial for pieces exposed to direct sunlight, helping to greatly reduce discolouration and extend the life of your furniture.

While it does not block all UV rays entirely, it acts as a crucial additional barrier, extending the life of your furniture and keeping its colour and finish vibrant.

          HOW TO POLISH WITH BEESWAX

          • Use a soft cloth or very fine 0000 wire wool
          • With gentle pressure spread the polish evenly over the surface in the direction of the grain, being careful not to over apply and avoid any upholstered areas. Once applied the surface area should look matt in appearance
          • Allow the wax to harden for 20-30 minutes
          • Use a soft buffing cloth to buff the wax to a deep and lustrous shine

Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.

If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish and then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.

            *SECRET TRADE TIP:

For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it 20 to 30 minutes later with the soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.

Excellent support to questions from a novice, so pleased to make a start with own restoration.

I watched the YouTube videos and then I had communication with Simon at Gilboys who guided me to the products most suited for my needs. Seem high quality

            Such a Treat

I’m restoring a Victorian pine cupboard and it is a joy to use such carefully made products and although my task is still a work in progress I am delighted with the results so far. In addition to a tin of hard wax oil and antique gold polish I highly recommend the Sheffield made Gilboy’s cabinet scraper. Who knew one could get so excited about waxes and polishes!

            Rejuvenated

Finally found the right wax for my needs thanks to expert advice and help from my local suppliers. The help I got cannot be received on line and thank goodness for a local supplier. For all your wax needs look no further. Really impressed with the service from two sincere and honest gentlemen.
Thank you for good old fashioned service.
Best wishes to you both for the future.

            Sheer NATURALquality

A natural quality product that delivers a natural quality finish. You can not replicate natural quality.... you either have or you don't... and Gilboy's Antique wax certainly has it

Packaging and service are first rate

A very well packaged and delivered product. Not sure about the seeds etc. a

I would have been happy with simple packaging and a web address for instructions especially if the product was more affordable….. it’s the high quality polish I am after. It is pricey but I bought for the formula as it looks top notch.

I have yet to use as waiting for the liberon wax and polish remover for a full refresh on my GIII mahogany CODs which need some TLC.

Good to have a cottage industry supplier focussed on quality product.

            Will update upon use.

            Worth the price

Having used this wax religiously for 2 years I decided to buy a big tin. Such easy wax to use and gives a good shine after just one use. Works amazingly and I recommend it all to my clients too.

            Just the job!

Followed Simon's instructions and achieved the lovely shine on my sadly neglected kist. Easy to apply with the superfine steel wool and buffed up nicely. Based on my result I would certainly recommend this beeswax polish. Thanks Simon.
