HOW TO POLISH WITH BEESWAX

how to polish with beeswax
  1. Use a soft cloth or very fine 0000 wire wool
  2. With gentle pressure spread the polish evenly over the surface in the direction of the grain, being careful not to over apply and avoid any upholstered areas. Once applied the surface area should look matt in appearance
  3. Allow the pure pine turpentine to completely evaporate and the wax to harden
  4. Use a soft buffing cloth to buff the wax to a deep and lustrous shine

Weekly furniture maintenance of removing dust can be done by simply using a slightly damp cloth and drying if needed with a clean dry cloth - beeswax polish will protect the surface for a very long time.

If you have a larger surface like the side of a chest of drawers or the top of a dining table apply the beeswax more evenly by dabbing the surface all over with small amounts of polish then wipe in the direction of the grain to spread the wax evenly.

*SECRET TRADE TIP:

For carved relief areas such as an antique coffer, you can also apply beeswax furniture polish with a cheap 1 inch trimmed paint brush. It makes applying the beeswax much easier and allows the polish to get right into those dusty and hard to reach areas. Buff it 20 to 30 minutes later with the soft shoe brush and buffing cloth.

A fantastic product!

I cannot recommend this product highly enough. I must admit, I was a little sceptical having viewed the YouTube video that it could be as good as demonstrated. Within a couple of hours of applying the product it was clear it was far superior to many others on the markets. I left the wax on for 4-6 hrs at a time before buffing off. A partially sun bleached chair was restored to its original lustre by applying a couple of even coats and very little residue was removed. My only regret is not taking a before and after to show the transformation! I couldn’t be happier with the result, and the personalised packaging was a rare and unexpected touch in an overly commercialised world. Would not hesitate to buy again or recommend. Thank you.

Wax polish

Really great product, will be buying more products as hoping to take up furniture restoration in the new year, though there seems to be so many people taking this up, so not sure if it is worth it, thank you guys for all your support too, Merry Christmas!! :)

Excellent product - packaging could be better

I have applied the polish and could not be happier with the result.

However, the product was a bit dry on the top - I presume because the metal ring to keep the jar sealed was damaged and could not keep the lid tight. The jar sealer was already damaged when I received it and should have been noticed before it was shipped.

Hi Gene. Thank you for your review. I apologise if the seal was somehow compromised. All of our waxes will have a slightly hard crust on top. It forms as it cools for a few minutes in our workshop before closing the lid. Other paint companies add a chemical to stop this from happening but we want to keep our polish as natural as possible. Once you start using it softens and applies in just the same way. Best Wishes Simon
